Q2 Can I record the seminar as I take it?
No. Recording the audio or video of the seminar or any screen capturing during the seminar is explicitly not allow.
Q3 Is an OSR Live Webinar a valuable training experience?
Yes. We wouldn't offer them if we didn't think so. We're realistic though -- we believe that the best training experience comes from live,
in-person instruction. Lacking ability or desire to travel, these live webinars are the next best thing.
Q4 Can we ask questions during the webinar?
Yes. Students will have the ability to engage in both electronic and verbal Q&A with the instructor during the webinar.
Q5 Are the instructors available for questions post-webinar?
Yes. Immediately after the webinars, the instructor will remain online to answer questions. And, as we do in our live, in-person seminars,
we always make our instructors email addresses available to answer questions from former students.
Q6 My PC meets the technical requirements for your live webinars, but how can I be sure it will work correctly and not delay my participation?
Mandatory pre-webinar setup sessions will be scheduled for students to login and test their setup (at least a day prior). |
Q7 Are there going to be breaks during each session?
Yes. Of course we'll be taking breaks, likely after each module/topic during a session, but dependant on their length and time between each.
Q8 Do I receive hardcopies of the webinar material?
Yes. All registered participants will have one hardcopy of the handouts, including all slides, shipped to
them prior to the first session. Last minute registrations will be accommodated where possible (e.g., your
hardcopy may arrive post-seminar. Sorry folks, we're limited by availability, shipping time, local customs procedures, etc.).
Q9 Will these webinars be made available on-demand?
That's a tougher question. Without modification, we don't see a great deal of value in a pre-recorded webinar. Perhaps, like these live
webinars, we'll be proved wrong, but we don't have any current plans to go back down the on-demand road.

Q10 What do you mean when you say you're "developers who teach?"
OSR instructors are driver writers. They are out there every day working on the
system software industry's
leading edge projects. This allows them to grow their knowledge base and share that knowledge with
their students. What might be equally important is that our instructors also just happen to have years of
experience teaching people how to write drivers and file systems.
No other company in the world brings that kind of real-world development experience
to the training room.
Q11 Does OSR offer services other than training?
Of course.
OSR is a consultancy made up of practicing developers. We offer consulting and development services from
design to complete project development. We also license enabling technology
that will help bring your products to market faster.
And obviously, we provide training. Without our consulting and development experience, our training
would be, well... just your average training session. We think you'll agree that OSR seminars are anything but average.

Q12 Do you offer discounts?
Absolutely! For all public webinars, we offer an early payment discount of $200 off of the seminar
base price; just make sure we receive your payment two weeks in advance.
We also offer a discount for companies who send multiple students to a public webinar.
