ProcMon monitors file system, registry, process, and network operations. For most OSR customer support situations, the registry, process, and network operations don’t need to be monitored. Therefore, these can be turned off via the buttons in the Process Monitor toolbar.
Note in the screen capture above that 4 of the last 5 buttons are depressed (highlighted). Hover over them to see what they represent. To turn off registry monitoring select the button that displays “Show Registry Activity”. Do the same for the buttons that display “Show Network Activity” and “Show Process and Thread Activity”. Your Process Monitor toolbar should now look like this:
